The Human Condition

"I do not understand myself. I want to do what is right but I do not do it. Instead, I do the very thing I hate. When I do the thing I do not want to do, it shows me that the Law is right and good. So I am not doing it. Sin living in me is doing it. I know there is nothing good in me, that is, in my flesh. For I want to do good but I do not. I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I am always doing the sinful things I do not want to do. If I am always doing the very thing I do not want to do, it means I am no longer the one who does it. It is sin that lives in me. This has become my way of life: When I want to do what is right, I always do what is wrong. My mind and heart agree with the Law of God. But there is a different law at work deep inside of me that fights with my mind. This law of sin holds me in its power because sin is still in me. There is no happiness in me! Who can set me free from my sinful old self?"
Romans 7:15-24

  1. Hi, I recently saw on your IG that you posted a picture of an Arm Tatoo and some girl commented on it saying how "disgusting" tattoos are. I also so that you tried to tell her that not all people with tattoo want attention, but she said, "its a fact."

You should say something to her. Who is she to tell you what to put on your body? I looked at her profile and exactly who is she to tell you (indirectly) not to be like the other "sheep"?

From having seen her pretentious and self-loving pictures on her IG, she is the "sheep" not you! From my observations (because I have followed your blogs/IG for a while), you are the more distinguished one here: you are a writer, you touch people by your words, I read everything you write. It shows that you are a critical thinker and seek to be more than these make-up thumping women who have nothing better to do than to post pictures of well, doing just that. She has absolutely no backbone and nothing to offer the world and yet she is going to tell you what you should or should not do with your body?

You need to comment back on that picture and make sure you stand up for yourself. People are watching and I would HATE to see that conversation end with, "its a fact, lol" coming from an otherwise incompetent person who has showed absolutely no self-worth besides being considered "sexy" due to her looks. You can literally use my words below or just rephrase them to tell it back to her:

If people who want tattoos are all begging for attention, what are you doing? What is the difference between makeup and tattoos? That you, who cakes on makeup everyday have the option of changing the colors and putting on new things everyday? That you have the option to buy more worthless products which are meant to make you "look good". If I get a tattoo, I want attention, on the basis that its permanent? At least I can commit to an ink that I don't have to change everyday. Make-up is ink too, its just removable. Now don't tell me that you don't post all these pictures of yourself because you don't want attention, you do. So, if I want to get a tattoo to enhance my appearance with an image which means a lot to me, you can be damn sure that its a lot more meaningful than you slapping on make-up on your face to tell the world how beautiful you are.

I am bothered. I am bothered that someone like you has to hear that. Stand up for what you want, you want a tattoo? GO GET ONE! I analyzed her profile and I analyzed yours, she has absolutely nothing more to offer anyone anything but a few tutorials of which colors are better to slap on your eyes, psshhh, big deal. At least with your social image, I can learn something (and I have). Please DO NOT let her dominate that conversation, please tell her off. You have followers you SEE how you stand up for what you believe in. This is not about a tattoo, this is about self-expression and don't let some pretentious, image obsessed bimbo tell you otherwise. Hold your own! You KNOW you posted that pic of the tat because you like it and even if you would never get one, don't ever let anyone, especially this nimwit tell you otherwise. I really hope you say something to her on that comment thread which we all can see, because she can piss off. With all that said, if she is your friend, I hope you are not offended. I have this innate desire to protect genuine people and you are one of them.

    Thank you.
